Shooting at Monaco Studio
Hello and welcome to London advertising agency MEDIAREACH, for the still life shoot at MONACO STUDIO last week.. Photographer OLIVER ELLIOTT did a wonderful job, and made exotic spices and lentils look like a scene from the Namibian desert... . Thanks to our lovely hand model, a classical Indian dancer, whose fingers are amazingly dextrous, having trained from the age of five... It was a great shoot, with a warm atmosphere, infused with the beautiful smell of spices...come and shoot at MONACO STUDIO. We are not just a great space, but can also provide you with highly competent photographers, stylists and makeup artists.. We resolve your photographic problems into creative solutions..

BEAUTY MAGAZINE - Life as a make up artist...
What a lovely shoot yesterday with another fantastic photographer PHILIP SURBEY, for Beauty Magazine. 4 models all under 23, so needless to say already fantastic skin to give me a headstart..
Prepped skin with ID REVER UPPER, which makeup sits nicely on, then used DIOR FOREVER FOUNDATION, blended as nobody has the skin tone from a single bottle.. It was a fresh, clean look for all the girls, so after application of foundation I use my MAC cream blush, the best product to bring a natural glow to the cheeks and set with my all time favourite powder by GIVENCHY.. I love this powder, it makes the skin soooooo perfect, to die for...attention though, apply very lightly with a largish brush, to avoid to over powdery look....
Once the skin looks amazing, it was just a matter of defining the brows, eyes and lips... Those girls look fantastic...hair was all swept back into neat chignons or ponies... Chic.
For once there was no real styling involved as brief was clean and simple.. Just some little vest tops and headbands...
All in all a great day and what a bonus, Phil Surbey sent me home with a lovely bouquet of flowers.. Now how lucky am I???
All these skills, we are currently teaching at MONACO MAKEUP ACADEMY.. Who is next to sign up for a course????

Happy New Year
Hello and welcome to 2011....
Its going to be an amazing year at Monaco Makeup Academy... Im feeling great after a Christmas spent in Bruxelles and New year in France...Always good to surround yourself with positivity....
Just a quick catch up on the last few shoots of 2010... It got so busy in the lead up to Christmas that there was no time for Blogging...The very last thing i did was a shoot for SKYPE...Which turned out to be a lot of fun... It was a super quick turn around time, and i was hardly meeting the director JUSTIN DICKEL for a pre production meeting, before styling the 5 charecters in the midst of snow and a million and one christmas shoppers.. Its a funny viral that i hope you all get to see at one point...and involved the cast in various stages of dress...All im going to say is that one young man was VERY BRAVE...And i felt more like Matron with him as i covered up a few pimples on his bottom....Discretion is all with an actor!!!
Did a super shoot with lovely director KEVIN MCKIERNAN .I have worked with Kevin on and off for many years and this shoot for LG was a great day...Had a whole team with me for this as the actors turnaround time was super fast.. Ruthie Maurice came and did all the makeup and we had a trainee to help with on set..LG brief was funky young people, cool family ( complete with cute, but diva ish 5 year old) and lovely attractive and sophisticated older couple...Look out for this ....
Finally, with my best mate TONY BRIGGS..a couple of fun days. A quick shot for TALK TALK that seemed on principal to be quite easy, but was very tricky on the lighting..And finally a super day with comedien REGINALD D HUNTER, shooting pics for his DVD covers and various publicity stuff...The art director was very pleased with the choice of styling...RESTORATION????sounds kooky but it really worked with Reg's frame...And also commented on the image we had worked on earlier in the year of TIM MINCHIN, in an abbotoir of instrumets...Very powerful stuff...Tim is currantly wowing audiences with the production of MATILDA, which he wrote music and/or lyrics on...
It was a great year, but this new decade is going to be even better...When are you coming to do a makeup course at MONACO MAKEUP ACADEMY the No 1 School for Short Make-up Training Courses... Look what a fun and creative career it can be....
